Pure Hockey Says: The Bauer 960 is Bauer’s Pro Goalie mask, and the best helmet on the market, short of an expensive custom made mask. It is the same mask you will see on many of the goalies in the NHL. It is hand-laid and constructed of a fiberglass shell with Aramid reinforcement throughout the entire shell, making the helmet very strong and rigid. The inside is made of pro level foam and is very comfortable. If you are playing at a high level you won’t be disappointed in the Bauer 960. (Note: The only difference between the 960 and 961, is the cage. The 960 comes with a fully certified, straight bar cage. The 961 comes with a non-certified pro Cat-eye cage. )
